Crishtian Hughes was born July 24, 1992 and grew up in San Diego, California. His family said he was very social and friendly with everyone and always had a big heart.
In 2013, after recently losing his father, Crishtian decided to fly to San Francisco for a few days and visit friends.
On February 4, 2013, Crishtian’s mother, Kim, drove her son to the San Diego airport, knowing she’d seen him again in three quick days. They said their goodbyes, not knowing the last time they would.
Crishtian’s return flight was due back in San Diego on February 7 around 2:30 p.m.
But 2:30 came and went, and Crishtian did not arrive. Kim confirmed that his plane arrived, and since he was not on it, she thought he must’ve missed the flight. However, all of her efforts to contact her son were unsuccessful.
Christian was 20 years old and had recently lost his father. Kim knew he was suffering a bit, and instantly was quite worried. But again, her son was an adult.
The next day, February 8, Kim contacted Crishtian’s aunt in San Francisco. She confirms she saw Crishtian on February 5, the day after Crishtian arrived in San Francisco, and she gave him $70. She didn’t note anything unusual.
Chelsea tried reaching out to his San Francisco friends, but that didn’t turn up any clues either.
Christian’s friends would later call the San Francisco police to report Crishtian missing.
On the evening of February 8th, the San Diego police would show up at Kim’s house with the information that Crishtian was missing.
The search for her missing son was on.
The only input his friends were able to provide was that Crishtian packed up his belongings and left the home around 1:00 a.m. on February 7th. There doesn’t seem to be any reason given for him leaving at that hour as his flight home wasn’t until early afternoon.
No one seemed to know where he would go either.
A year later, a sighting of Crishtian would come in. A sighting that many believe- for some reason- has merit. He was seen with longer, shaggier hair, walking in San Francisco with an unidentified blonde female.
Was it Crishtian? Truth is, we just don’t know.
Did Crishtian walk away from his life, possibly because of his mental struggles? He also has unspecified medical conditions, which has further concerned his loved ones.
Authorities don’t believe foul play was involved, but there are no clues or evidence pointing to any answers.
Christian is described as a Caucasian male, standing 5’8” and weighing around 140 pounds when he was last seen in February 2013.
He has brown hair, hazel eyes, a scar running down the length of his spine and he has the words “West Coast” tattooed on his left arm, the word “Loyalty” tattooed on his right arm, a playing card tattooed on his wrist, and praying hands tattooed on his chest over his heart.
Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Crishtian Hughes is asked to contact the San Diego Police Department at 619–531–2000.
