In what is being investigated as a m*urder-suicide, an Alabama sheriff’s deputy is accused of k*illing an office worker whom he was dating.

The Cullman County, Alabama, Sheriff stated in a press release that deputy Kenneth Booth killed shift supervisor Lexi White on Thursday during an alleged argument in Orange Beach.

According to officials, the argument grew so heated that Booth ultimately pulled a gun and killed White.

According to authorities, Booth later committed suicide.

White has been employed by the sheriff’s office since she was 16 years old, according to sheriff Matt Gentry.

“Everyone in our family at the Sheriff’s Office is in shock. We are all deeply saddened and in disbelief. Our thoughts are with the families of everyone involved. Please join me in praying for the families and for everyone at the Sheriff’s Office, Gentry pleaded with the crowd.

Since she was 16 years old, Lexi has worked for the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office. She participated in every Youth Leadership Academy after being a founding member, either as a participant or a coach. I can’t put into words how much she and her family mean to me. I am heartbroken to the core. Lexi makes me feel like one of my own children.
