According to Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez, a Pizza Hut manager was arrested in Florida after having se*x with one of his underage employees in a women’s bathroom.
Lopez claimed Calvin Cooke instructed the 16-year-old employee to clean the women’s lavatory after the restaurant closed for the night on Saturday. Cooke, 31, followed her into the bathroom and locked the door, according to Lopez. According to Lopez, the 6’2″ 240-pound man then “committed se*x acts” on the girl.
“This suspect… deserves to be exposed, and the public needs to know what he did,” Lopez said at a press conference. “He needs to be exposed for the type of person he is, and it’s sad, but unfortunately, they live amongst us.”
Lopez said the girl told deputies she felt compelled to have se*x with him because she was afraid of the consequences if she said no. When she told her parents what happened after her shift, they called the cops.
She claimed that the Cooke began communicating with her on social media and sent her explicit photos via Snapchat. Cooke admitted to deputies that he performed se*x acts on the girl, who was under the age of 18.
“This guy didn’t care,” Lopez observed.
Cooke is charged with se*xual battery on a minor, transmitting harmful information to a minor, illegal use of a two-way communication device, and contributing to a minor’s delinquency. He was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Jail, where he is being held on a $33,000 bond.
Lopez said Cooke was fired from his position after the incident.
He said the girl will likely be “scarred for life.”
“We put him on blast and put his picture out there because imagine this is your friend, your daughters, or your neighbour,” Lopez explained. “You’re curious about who this guy is. This is the type of person we want to keep off the streets in order to keep the kids safe.”
