Since he was seen partying in Mexico days after his mother was pronounced de*ad, Sergio Brown, a former NFL player, has been charged with first-degree mur*der in her de*ath.

The Maywood Police Department said that he was taken into custody near San Diego on Tuesday and sent back to his home country because of an arrest warrant issued in Illinois.

Reports say that police in San Diego are working to move the former NFL player from Southern California to the Chicago area, where his mother, Myrtle, was found de*ad in her home last month.

Myrtle’s body was found after her family told the Maywood Police Department that they couldn’t find or get in touch with her or her son.

Later, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office found that the 73-year-old woman died from injuries she got in an attack and ruled her de*ath a mu*rder.

Just a few days later, Brown, 35, went on an irrational rant on his seemingly abandoned Instagram account, intplayerwithapassport. The rant made fun of the 2003 kids’ movie “Finding Nemo” and his family’s missing person’s report.

He said, “Just keep swimming, just keep swimming,” which was a line from the movie Dory, played by Ellen DeGeneres.

“What the hell?” Not there? They’ve never seen “Finding Nemo,” now have they? What the hell is going on? This is very upsetting. I’m glad I don’t have to joke around. What the f–k are you doing? “Just keep swimming,” he told her before laughing hysterically.

In another video Brown posted to Instagram, the former safety could be seen walking around shirtless in the sun while singing the mysterious hook to Drake’s song “Legend.”

During his slow, dramatic singing, he made funny faces to emphasise the words: “Oh my God, oh my God, if I die I’m a legend.”

Later, earlier this month, Brown was seen in another video dancing and partying with twerking women at a club in Tulum, Mexico. He didn’t seem to care that the mur*der investigation into his mother was still going on.

In the video that TMZ Sports got their hands on, Brown was wearing only red Nike swimming trunks and a big smile. A blonde woman in a blue swimsuit danced with the former Indianapolis Colts defensive back while draping her arms around his shoulders and laughing. Brown’s hips were moving to the beat.

Later in the two-minute recording, Brown joined a group of different customers who were swaying back and forth to the beat of hip-hop music.

A witness told the gossip site that the ex-football player stayed at the club for several hours, talking to people and buying them drinks. Then he left.

Mexican officials are said to have known he was in the country since September 19, but they didn’t deport him until Illinois finally put out a warrant for his arrest.

Brown played in 94 games for the Buffalo Bills, the New England Patriots, the Indianapolis Colts, and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

From 2010 to 2016, he played in the league.

The player went to Notre Dame and also played high school basketball at Proviso East High School in Maywood, which is a suburb of Chicago.
