A Michigan boy who was three years old and autistic but didn’t talk was found de*ad in a river the next day. He had left the house and disappeared while his babysitter was in the shower.

Someone called the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office on October 9 around 2:00 p.m. to say that Jermaine Jones was missing from S. Bauer Road, which is north of Clark Road in Watertown Township.

At 4 p.m. on October 10, his body was found in the Looking Glass River. The river is about five hours from where the call came in.

After getting the call, the police sent out special units to look for the boy all night, but they couldn’t find him.

Someone also asked people to help look for the child at Watertown Township Hall the next day in a Facebook post.

This afternoon, just after 2 p.m., Clinton County Central Dispatch got a call about a child who was missing on S. Bauer Rd., which is just north of Clark Rd. in Watertown Township.

“The three-year-old boy in the picture left his home and hasn’t been seen since.” He has autism and can’t talk.

People can help us find him by sharing this information. Please check your home, outbuildings, cameras, and other things if you live in the area. We are searching for him again this evening with specialized tools in the hopes of finding him.

“More volunteers will be brought in in the morning if we fail this evening.”

The police also asked people in the area to look for Jones in their homes, outbuildings, and security cameras.

The department made another Facebook post the next day confirming that the child had died.

“It is with great sadness that we inform you that the missing child was found de*ad.” An event for the press will take place at 5:30pm near the Clinton County Incident Command trailer on Bauer Rd, which is just north of Clark Rd.

“At this point, more information may be made public.” They asked people to pray for the family during this terrible time.

Somebody in the government said they wouldn’t talk about the child or babysitter at the press conference.

When asked why there wasn’t an Amber alert for Jones, the official said it wasn’t because they thought the child hadn’t been taken, because alerts were only sent out for stolen children.

The parents of the child are thought to have been at work when the child went missing.

During the search, the child was seen with curly hair, a dinosaur T-shirt, and shark shorts but no shoes.

A lot of people who commented on the Sheriff’s post on Facebook said that they should check “nearby bodies of water” because autistic kids are drawn to water and some of them don’t know how dangerous it is. One of the main ways that autistic people die is by drowning.

Disorders on the autism spectrum are known to affect the nervous system and last a long time. Common signs include having trouble communicating and interacting with others, having obsessive interests, and doing the same things over and over again.
