Disappearance
On July 14, 2017, Brianna Vibert’s last contact with family was a phone call with Lisa Morley Hulse, when they talked about her upcoming trip to New York for her sister’s baby’s gender reveal party.
That night, Vibert left her house after getting into an argument with her boyfriend and was captured by surveillance camera at a Marathon gas station on Miller Road, where she often went to charge her phone or use the bathroom.
Around 1:00 am on July 15, 2017, Vibert was seen getting into a red Pontiac Aztek driven by an unidentified male at the gas station. The two later stopped by a local adult entertainment club where Vibert was described by employees as in “pretty bad shape.”
Around 2:45 am, surveillance footage shows Vibert at a Mobil gas station on South Saginaw Street in Flint, Michigan. She appeared panicked, her right arm was bleeding, and she was stumbling and holding onto shelves for balance.
Shortly after, Vibert left the gas station and was last seen walking north on Saginaw Road near Atherton Road in Flint Township, Michigan as the owner of the red Pontiac Aztek drove in the opposite direction.
Brianna Jayde Vibert never returned home and hasn’t been heard from since.
Investigation
According to Brianna’s boyfriend, the two got into an argument stemming from Vibert being denied a visit for her children because her home was lacking water due to a broken well. She was screaming and throwing things, and ended up cutting her arm with a knife.
Authorities identified the owner of the red Pontiac Aztek who said Vibert asked him for a ride to a restaurant. They later stopped by a local adult entertainment club where Vibert used to work before they left in his vehicle.
Vibert left her cellphone behind in the red Aztek, which was located by police six days later. Her bag was found abandoned in a ditch near her home.
The driver of the red Aztek, whose identity has not been publicly released, cooperated with the investigation and was never named a suspect in Brianna’s disappearance.
