In 2017, Chase was a resident of Houston, Texas. He lived with his dog, a light-colored Maltese named Champ, in an apartment complex at 6200 East Sam Houston Parkway near Wallisville Road in northeast Harris County.

Chase worked as an ironworker in a plant construction company. He was a fan of baseball and played in a recreation softball league.

Disappearance

On June 30, 2017, Chase Lackey played softball in a recreational league match in Crosby, Texas. Everything seemed fine at the time and his last words to his father were, “I love you, Pop.”

On July 2, 2017, Chase was last seen by an old classmate walking his dog Champ near his apartment along East Sam Houston Parkway near Wallisville Road in Houston, Texas.

Chase never showed up after that day and has never been heard from again. His family filed a missing person’s report with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office when they couldn’t contact him.

Investigation

Chase Lackey left behind all of his belongings at home including his keys, cell phone, wallet, driver’s license, passport, debit card, and social security cards.

There was no sign of forced entry at his home and his truck was found untouched outside. Chase disappeared along with his Maltese dog named Champ.

Foul play is suspected in Chase’s disappearance. Authorities believe he may have been associated with people involved in illegal activity prior to his disappearance.

Chase has multiple tattoos including a cross on his left shoulder blade, words across his upper chest and shoulders, Asian characters on his right ribs and Bible scriptures on his left arm.

Clothing and accessories:
Chase was last seen wearing red shorts and no shirt.
