The community was situated in an “extremely” rural and remote area of Juab County, about three hours away from any major cities, with only a handful of homes and ranches.
Elizabeth never showed up to work that day and has never been heard from again. When she failed to return home her family filed a missing person’s report with the Juab County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigation
Authorities conducted a search in the area between her home and the ranch where she was going to work, but no signs of Elizabeth were found.
The ranch where she was supposed to start her new job was searched, but didn’t turn up anything suspicious, according to authorities.
A search warrant to access Elizabeth’s cell phone and social media was issued on April 18, but authorities have no released any further details as to what, if anything, was found.
According to her family, Elizabeth had suffered from mental health issues and had run away from home in the past but she would usually return within a day and stay in communication with her family.
