Background
Heather Cameron was born on August 11, 1984. She grew up in rural Redding, California, and enjoyed outdoor activities such as riding dune buggies, fishing, and boating.
Heather has four children and is a member of the Grand Ronde Indian Tribe.
According to family, Heather was a victim of domestic violence. She has a history of drug abuse, and had recently checked herself out of a rehab program.
Her family says it’s uncharacteristic of her to go missing without being in contact with her children.
Disappearance
On August 18, 2012, Heather Cameron was last seen in Shasta County, California. She was last seen with her ex boyfriend, Daniel Lusby, heading to Keswick Dam, a remote area 20 miles outside of Redding, California (near the Sacramento River and Shasta Dam).
Around 2:50 pm Heather made three 911 calls from the area of Keswick Dam using Lusby’s phone, saying she had been drugged with heroin and needed help.
The 911 operator could hear a male voice in the background, but due to the poor phone reception in the area the call dropped multiple times.
Heather Cameron hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
On September 4, 2012, Heather’s estranged husband reported her missing to the Redding Police Department, which then referred her case to Shasta County.
Investigation
Heather may be driving a gray four door 2003 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with California plate number 8Z75740.
Authorities conducted an extensive search of the area Heather made the 911 calls from, but turned up no clues as to her whereabouts.
Lusby was interviewed by police about Heather’s disappearance on three separate occasion, telling authorities she walked off with his phone on the day she went missing. The phone has never been recovered.
Lusby is considered a person of interest in her disappearance, but has never been charged. Police say they are still trying to corroborate information.

The location of Heather Cameron, as well as the circumstances surrounding her disappearance, remains unknown. Her case is classified as endangered missing.
Shasta County Secret Witness is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to her whereabouts.
Appearance
Native American female born on August 11, 1984. Heather has brown hair, brown eyes, stands 5’6, and weighs 115 pounds. Her ears are pierced.
She has several tattoos; tribal flowers on her back, a girl and a gun with tribal flowers on her left calf, and an unfinished character tattoo on her right thigh.
Heather is a member of the Grand Ronde Indian Tribe. She may use her maiden name Haller.
