20-year-old Ryan Shtuka was last seen in Sun Peaks, British Columbia on February 17, 2018. He disappeared in the early morning hours after attending a house party with his roommates.

Background

Heather and Scott Shtuka had a son named Ryan on March 17, 1997. He was born in Alberta and has two sisters.

Disappearance

Ryan Shtuka and his best friend got to Sun Peaks, British Columbia, on December 1, 2017. They planned to do seasonal work and snowboard during the winter.

Ryan lived in a house with roommates in Sun Peaks and worked at the ski resort as a lift operator.

After work on February 16, 2018, Ryan and his roommates left the house and went to a nearby pub for a Silent Disco event. After that, the group left the pub and went to a house party just a short distance from their home.

Ryan was last seen leaving the party on Burfield Drive in Sun Peaks, British Columbia, around 2:10 a.m. on February 17, 2018.

It was said that Ryan was seen standing up and putting on his coat and shoes when his friends decided to leave the party. Following Ryan’s roommates out the door, they thought he was right behind them.

Ryan wasn’t there when they turned around. They thought at first that he was either behind on tying his shoes or had chosen to stay at the party, so they walked the five minutes home without him.

Ryan Shtuka never came back home, and no one has seen or heard from him since. The next day, Ryan didn’t show up for work, so his roommates called the Kamloops Royal Canadian Mounted Police to report him missing.

Investigation

The area was searched thoroughly by the police. This is the last time Ryan was seen. Volunteer teams, canine units, drones, snowmobiles, and helicopters all helped with the search, but Ryan Shtuka was not found.

His bank account, social media, and phone records have not been used since he disappeared. Ryan’s family thinks that he probably died from the weather and that his body is somewhere in Sun Peaks.

Whereabouts

The police did not find any signs of foul play in the disappearance of Ryan Shtuka. There is a $15,000 reward for information that leads to Ryan’s capture.

The details of Ryan Shtuka’s disappearance are still not clear, and his case is currently marked as “missing.” His case has still not been solved.
