Background
Tyler Blake Weathersby grew up in Chicago, Illinois. He has two brothers and a sister.
As a teenager, Tyler got involved in dance and went on to start a performance group with his brother. The two later moved to Los Angeles, where they got signed by a talent agency to focus on a career in dance and music.
In the mid-2010s, Tyler moved to South Dakota and started his own business called Wake, a streetwear clothing company focused on “self-love and community,” with his friend and business partner, MonaLisa Perez.
In 2021, Tyler married MonaLisa Perez and became the father of her two children. The couple were living in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 2024, when they welcomed a new baby.
Disappearance
On August 26, 2024, Tyler Weathersby’s mother came to visit the family in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She planned to be there for 10 days, and was excited to see her new granddaughter. Everything seemed normal when she arrived.
On September 3, 2024, Tyler got into an argument with his mother, which was described as out of character for him, since they had never had an argument before.
That evening, Tyler drove his mother to the airport and got her a hotel room for the night, even though her flight was not until the next day. He later contacted one of his brothers to inform him of what happened.
According to his brother, Tyler didn’t sound like himself on the phone and was “speaking in circles.” He was still upset upon his return home and barely got any sleep that night with his wife.
On September 4, 2024, Tyler got up early and left for a morning walk. He later returned and helped his wife get their children in the car so she could drive them to school.
Around 7:15 am, Tyler was last seen by his wife when he left their family residence in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to go for a second walk as she was driving out of the driveway.
Around 7:50 am, Tyler was captured on surveillance camera in the area of West Madison Street and North Marion Road, walking eastbound toward Interstate I29.
Tyler hasn’t been seen or heard from since. That afternoon, MonaLisa Perez filed a missing person’s report with the Sioux Falls Police Department when her husband failed to return home.
Investigation
Tyler Weathersby left his cell phone, wallet, ID, credit cards, and passport at home.
According to his wife, Tyler struggled with depression and mental health at times. He often exercised and went out for walks, two to three times a day to meditate and clear his mind.
Whereabouts
Police found no evidence for foul play in Tyler Weathersby ’s disappearance. The circumstances of Tyler ’s disappearance remain unclear and his case is currently classified as missing. His case remains unsolved.

Physical Description:
African-American male with black hair (shaved) and brown eyes. Tyler stands 6’0 tall and weighs 154 pounds.
Distinctive Physical Features:
Tyler has a scar from the ankle to his knee on one of his legs. He has a tattoo of a crown with a halo above it on his right wrist.
Clothing and accessories:
Tyler was last seen wearing a white shirt and black shorts.
