32-year-old Vern Richard Morris was last seen in Tooele, Utah on June 25, 2021. He disappeared after leaving home in the early morning hours while he had low blood sugar levels due to his type 1 diabetes.
Background
Vern On June 15, 1989, Richard Morris was born. Three people in his family are his siblings. In Morris’s case, the pancreas doesn’t make much or any insulin, so he has type 1 diabetes, which is also called juvenile or insulin-dependent diabetes.
Morris was last seen at 700 South 700 West in Tooele, Utah, where he lived with his family. He loved computers and was making his own video game at the time.
Disappearance

Rick Morris was last seen at his home in Tooele, Utah, early in the morning on June 25, 2021.
When Morris’ mother checked on him at 1:16 am, his blood sugar level was 37 mg/dL, which was less than the bottom level of 70. At 1:47 am, his family made him eat a sandwich. By 1:55 am, his blood sugar was back to normal.
Reports said Morris was still slurring his words, but he seemed to be getting better. He told his mum he was okay and loved her. Then he said good night.
His mother went back to his room at 2:30 am to check his blood sugar levels again, but Morris was not there.
Vern Richard Morris never came back home, and no one has seen or heard from him since.
He didn’t come home, so his family called the Tooele City Police Department and said he was missing.
Investigation
Rick Morris forgot all of his personal items at home, like his wallet, cell phone, laptop, and medicine. He might not have had a shirt on when he left the house.
In Tooele, Utah, he may have been seen walking along Vine Street towards Middle Canyon.
Since then, Morris has been seen in Carlin, Nevada; Grantsville, Salt Lake City, Butterfield Canyon, Middle Canyon, and Settlement Canyon in Utah; or living with homeless people near the Jordan River in the Utah State Fairpark area.
Whereabouts
The police did not find any signs of foul play in the disappearance of Rick Morris. There is a $10,000 reward for information that leads to Morris’s discovery.
It’s still not clear what happened when Vern Richard Morris went missing, and his case is currently marked as “endangered missing.” His case has still not been solved.
