Alexis Ware vanished the same weekend she told her mother, Alberta Simpkins, that she didn’t think she’d live to see her 30th birthday. She also informed her mother that she suspected she was being followed.

Who Is Alexis Ware?

Alexis, a 29-year-old mother of two children, a girl and a boy, was an Instagram model who hoped to open her own fashion boutique in Atlanta. She had a big personality and was well-liked by her Greenville peers. Alexis’ children were fathered by various men with whom she had had committed relationships.

Alexis told her mother that she felt someone was following her before she vanished. She also stated that “the devil” would continue to call her. Alberta Simpkins asked her daughter who ‘the devil’ was, but Alexis refused to elaborate.

The Disappearance

Alexis drove to Anderson, S.C., about 30 miles from her home, on the evening of January 30, 2021, and met her child’s father, TJ Patterson, at a gas station. TJ loaded the kids into his car and drove to his mother’s house, while Alexis followed in her own car. TJ told police that Alexis sped away from the gas station.

TJ stated that despite his curiosity, he drove home and went to bed. TJ arrived at work on time the next morning.

Alexis hasn’t been seen or heard from since around 7:30 p.m. that evening. Her phone did, however, ping at an Anderson location at 8:35 p.m., and her car was spotted a couple of times at an apartment complex nearby.

Later that night, a highway camera in Augusta, GA, captured Ware’s car driving down the interstate. Because the camera footage was unclear, authorities were unable to determine whether she was driving the vehicle at the time.

Alexis’s Vehicle Recovered

Alexis’s vehicle, a 2019 Honda Accord with South Carolina tag #6635NS, was discovered abandoned in a hunting field in McCormick, S.C., about 30 minutes from Anderson, on February 1, 2022. The same day that authorities found the car, Alexis’s family filed a missing persons report.

The car still had Alexis’s cell phone, driver’s license, and purse in it. The truck had a bag of clothes in it, and her hair cap was on the ground outside the car.

Description

On the way to the gas station, Alexis put on a black jacket, gray jogging pants, and a black hat for her hair. She is about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 215 to 230 pounds.

“Lord, I miss my child every day,” Simpkons told Oxygen Network in an interview. “Please please please send me a clue.” Please help me. Sometimes I have my moments when I’m in the car by myself, not with the kids, and I’m just trying to figure out what happened.”

Does TJ Patterson know more about what happened to Alexis than he told the police? Did a stalker go all the way with his wants? Someone out there knows something about where Alexis went.
