Michael Gregory Walters was 15-years-old. His friends and family called him Mikey. He would be murd*ered in his Indianapolis home. He was fatally shot in the head on June 25, 2019 and would die the next day.

Michael liked music, had friends, and hoped to become a famous musician one day. Michael didn’t think he would live very long for some reason. He told his mother that he thought his life might be in danger. But when his mother asked him about it, he wouldn’t say anything.

Michael and a friend who used to live in the area were playing video games in Michael’s room on June 25, 2019. Someone would shoot into Michael’s room, but no one knows who. Michael got hit in the head. He was taken to the hospital right away, but he didn’t make it. He passed away the next day, on June 26, 2019. Four people were seen near Michael’s house when he was kil*led. Family and police know that many people know what happened to Michael but no one is willing to talk about it.

Jess Monday, Michael’s mother, and Mary McCambridge (Mary Mac), a grief and bereavement specialist who also lost a child to mur*der, helped me with this episode.
Mary is an expert in grief and bereavement, as well as an executive coach, a speaker, and an award-winning author of several books in this area, including her best-known work, Understanding Your Grieving Heart After a Loved One’s Death.
