On February 25, 2024, Irene Fleming was last seen leaving a friend’s residence in the 4900 block of Road U-Southwest, near Interstate 90 Silica Road Exit 143, in Grant County, Washington, between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m.
Irene was captured on surveillance camera leaving the premises alone on foot, without her vehicle. The unincorporated area is located between the rural communities of George and Vantage.
Later that day, Irene was last heard from when she called her family to inform them that she was in Wenatchee, Washington. Irene never returned, and hasn’t been heard from since.
Her family reported her missing to the Wenatchee Police after she failed to return home.
Investigation
On February 29, 2024, a woman matching Irene’s description was spotted by an employee of a business in East Wenatchee, Washington. The witness told police that the woman self-identified as “Irene”. The store did not have surveillance footage to confirm the sighting.
On March 2, 2024, another woman matching Irene Fleming’s description was also seen at a Costco store in East Wenatchee.
Due to no evidence of a crime occurring, a search warrant to ping her phone’s location was denied. Police believe her cell phone has since been turned off or died.
Searches with both foot patrols and drones were conducted in Irene’s last known location, but no clues as to her whereabouts have been found.

Police found no evidence of foul play in Irene Fleming’s disappearance, though the circumstances of her disappearance remain unclear. Her case is currently classified as missing and remains unsolved.

White female with brown hair and gray/blue eyes. Irene is 5’1 tall and weighs 100 pounds.

Irene usually wears a bull-style nose ring.
