A father of six was k*illed in a hit-and-run during an anniversary trip with his wife in Houston.
Lindsey and Dustin Dorcz were in Houston last week celebrating their fifth anniversary and celebrating Dustin Dorcz’s upcoming birthday.
In the early morning hours of Sept. 15, Dustin Dorcz was walking on the shoulder of Interstate 10 when he was hit by a vehicle and kil*led.
Police said the vehicle fled from the scene.
“We did have a witness who stayed on-scene. Unfortunately, the driver in that area did leave,” said Sgt. Dallas with the Houston Police Vehicular Crimes Division.
Lindsey Dorcz said she was not with her husband when he was hit, but the pain has been unbearable.
“I’ve been in a haze for the last eight days without my husband,” she said.
Now, she hopes that the person who hit her husband will come forward.
“If that person is watching this, maybe God can work on you, and you can give my husband the justice he deserves and come clean,” she said.
Lindsey Dorcz said she wants to fight for a safer tomorrow in her husband’s name as she learns to navigate her new life without him.
“We’re going to figure it out because this should not happen. Lives should not be taken,” she said. “Think about my family that is suffering right now. Think about my children who don’t have their dad.”
