In 2019, Betty was a resident of Sullivan, Missouri. She lived alone in an apartment on South Center Street. Her husband died in 2018. She loved cooking and baking for her family.

Betty was taking medication for pain, stemming from a back surgery along her spine. She was showing the early stages of dementia at the time of her disappearance, according to her family.

Disappearance

On April 10, 2019, Betty Alexander was last seen at her apartment in Sullivan, Missouri. She was described as being in good spirits when she was seen by the cleaning lady around noon.

At 1:15 pm, the pharmacy delivered two boxes of prescription medicine to her apartment. Around 3:00 pm, Betty was last seen by a neighbor working outside in the garden.

Betty Alexander never showed up after that day and hasn’t been heard from since. On April 14, 2019, her family filed a missing person’s report with the Sullivan Police Department when they couldn’t contact her.

Investigation

Betty Alexander left her glasses behind on the arm of the recliner couch inside her apartment, as well as her purse which contained her apartment keys, debit card, and $200 in cash. Meals on Wheels were left sitting on the kitchen table along with warm milk. She did not own a cell phone nor a vehicle.

Betty apparently took her medication for 7:00 pm that night, but not the dose for 7:00 am the next day. One of the two boxes of medication that was delivered by the pharmacy was missing.

A search of the area around her home turned up no additional clues as to her whereabouts.

A $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to Betty Alexander’s location.

White female born on October 22, 1949. Betty has brown hair, blue eyes, stands 4’11 tall, and weighs 150 pounds.

Distinctive Physical Features:
Betty has a scar along her spine from a back surgery. She wears prescription glasses and her ears are pierced.

Clothing and accessories:
Betty was possibly wearing a black fleece zip up hooded jacket and black slip on Klogs brand shoes.
