Disappearance
On February 22, 2023, Kenneth Reed was last seen around 10:30 am at a relative’s house in the 6000 block of Line Street in Shuqualak, Mississippi.
His vehicle, a blue 1998 Chevrolet Silverado with Mississippi license plate NX 12605, was later found abandoned near the intersection of Mahorner Road and Paulette Road, near the Mahorner bridge across the Noxubee River.
Kenneth hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
Investigation
Authorities state that the vehicle appeared to have been abandoned due to mechanical problems. Reed lived on and off in a mobile home on Cooksville Road for several years and was familiar with the area where his truck was discovered.
Authorities conducted a search of the area with the help of Memphis-Based Search Dogs South. His scent was initially picked up by the dogs, but was subsequently lost along the road, suggesting that Reed may have been picked up by a vehicle.
On February 24, 2023, the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) issued a Silver Alert for Kenneth Reed.

The circumstances of Kenneth Reed’s disappearance remain unclear and his case is currently classified as missing.
A $7,000 reward is being offered by his family for information leading to Kenneth’s discovery. His case remains unsolved.

Physical Description:
White male with black hair and brown eyes. Kenneth stands 5’8 tall and weighs 240 pounds.
Distinctive Physical Features:
Kenneth has tribal tattoos on his right upper arm, a spider on the right side of his chest, “Kenwood” on his lower arm and his upper black, “Almighty” across his fingers and a cross on his right forearm with the names “Margaret”, “Lil Mike” and “Wendy.” He has a surgery scar on his right knee.

Kenneth was last seen wearing a short sleeve hunter green t-shirt, black sweatpants, and black sandals.
