23-year-old Khadijah Britton was last seen in Covelo, California on February 7, 2018. She vanished after she was forced at gunpoint by her ex-boyfriend into the back of his vehicle.
Background of Khadijah
Khadijah Rose Britton was born on April 22, 1994 to parents Connie Hostler and Jerry Britton Jr. She is a Wailaki member of the Round Valley Indian Tribes of the Round Valley Reservation in Mendocino County, California.
Khadijah Britton attended Round Valley High School where she was a star athlete and a member of the girls’ basketball team. In 2012, she graduated with a GPA of 3.17, but despite her family’s insistence she did not enroll in college.
Britton later got into a relationship with an older man, Negie Fallis IV, who is also a Native American and father of four children, ages 7 months to 8 years old. Her family describes a history of abuse in their relationship.
In 2018, Khadijah was a resident of Covelo, California. She was staying at a house in the 23000 block of Airport Road after recently getting out of a relationship with Negie Fallis IV, her boyfriend of three years.
Disappearance of Khadijah
On January 30, 2018, authorities responded to a call regarding a domestic violence incident involving Khadijah Britton and her boyfriend Negie Fallis at his home in Covelo, California.
Britton told police and domestic violence counselors that Negie Fallis had tried to kill her with a hammer. She subsequently broke up with him and went to stay with a friend at their residence on Airport Road in Covelo, California.
On February 7, 2018, Khadijah Britton was last seen at her friend’s residence in the 23000 block of Airport Road in west Covelo, California.
Around midnight, Khadijah’s ex-boyfriend Negie Fallis showed up at the residence, armed with what appeared to be a small derringer pistol and demanded to speak with Khadijah outside.
According to witnesses, a physical altercation soon occurred between the two and Khadijahwas last seen being forced at gunpoint into Fallis’ vehicle, a black Mercedes sedan, before they left the location.
Khadijah Britton hasn’t been seen or heard from since. On February 10, 2018, her family filed a missing person’s report with the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office after she failed to return home.
Investigation
On February 19, 2018, 37-year-old Negie Fallis IV was arrested on charges stemming from domestic violence and the hammer incident. Court records show that Fallis also had a history of domestic violence charges related to other women.
Additional charges for attempted mur*der, kid*napping, and ass*ault with a de*adly weapon were initially filed against Negie Fallis, but authorities were forced to drop the charges due to a lack of evidence.
The FBI joined the investigation into Khadijah’s disappearance in March 2018, but no arrests have been made.
On December 4, 2020, Negie Fallis was sentenced to four years in state prison for felony possession of a firearm, a charge unrelated to Khadijah’s disappearance.

Foul play is suspected in Khadijah Britton’s disappearance and Negie Fallis is considered the main person of interest.
