23-year-old Veronica Reyes-Diaz was last seen in Dover, Florida on January 18, 2020. She disappeared after dropping her kids off at home and putting them into bed.

Background

Veronica Marllen Reyes Diaz was born on June 7, 1996, to parents Fidencio Minjares and Tina Hall.

At the time of her disappearance, Reyes-Diaz was living with her husband and three sons, ages 1, 4 and 5, in Dover, Florida. She was a stay at home parent.

Disappearance

On the evening of January 17, 2020, Veronica Reyes-Diaz drove her two older sons to her sister’s house in Plant City, about fifteen minutes away, while her husband stayed at home with their youngest son.

Upon returning home, Reyes-Diaz was picked up by a friend at her home in Dover, Florida, with plans to spend the night out and go to a restaurant.

On January 18, 2020, Reyes-Diaz was dropped off by a friend at her home, around 1:15 am. She drove to her sister’s residence, picked up her two older children and put them to bed when they returned home.

When her husband woke up around 7:00 am Reyes-Diaz was nowhere to be seen. Veronica Reyes-Diaz never returned home and has never been heard from again.

On January 20, 2020, her family filed a missing person’s report with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office when they couldn’t contact her.

Investigation

Authorities found Reyes-Diaz’s vehicle, a Chevrolet Yukon, parked outside her house with her keys and wallet containing $100 in cash left inside.

Reyes-Diaz disappeared along with her cell phone, which last pinged to a cell tower in Dover, Florida on the weekend she went missing. On the night of January 20, 2020, her cell phone was either turned off or the battery died.

Possible Connection to Cieha Taylor’s Disappearance

On February 6, 2020, less than three weeks after Reyes-Diaz went missing, 29-year-old Cieha Annette Taylor disappeared from Plant City, Florida.

Taylor was last seen around 4:00 pm, supposedly heading out to meet a friend in nearby Lakeland. At 7:00 pm her car was found abandoned on railroad tracks with the engine still running and her cell phone and debit card left inside.

Authorities are unsure if the disappearances are connected, but it has been discovered that the two women had mutual acquaintances.

Whereabouts

Police found no evidence, means, or motive for foul play in Veronica Reyes Diaz’s disappearance. A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to Veronica Reyes-Diaz’s whereabouts.

The circumstances of Veronica Reyes-Diaz’s disappearance remain unclear and her case is currently classified as missing. Her case remains unsolved.

Appearance

Physical Description:
Hispanic female born on June 7, 1996. Veronica has brown hair, brown eyes, stands 4’9 tall, and weighs 130 – 150 pounds. Her hair was dyed burgundy at the time of her disappearance.

Distinctive Physical Features:
Veronica has a mole near the corner of her left eye. She wears eyeglasses and her ears are pierced.

Clothing and accessories:
Veronica was last seen wearing a white and gray long sleeve cropped shirt, jeans, and blue sandals.
